BEFORE YOU COMPARE SUPPLIERS
Three gaps to close before the next commitment.
1. A familiar product name hides a different BOM
Two proposals can use the same platform name while quoting different accelerator variants, memory capacities, network interfaces or power arrangements. Accessories, software rights and integration work may be included in one offer but absent from another.
We issue the approved BOM revision and ask each candidate to identify exact part numbers, quantities, substitutions and exclusions. Any proposed equivalent remains a separate option for your technical team to assess.
The record: A normalized configuration matrix separates matching offers from changed specifications. You can compare the commercial terms only after deciding which configurations meet your actual requirement.
2. A stock claim does not establish the condition or supply chain
A sales image or a statement that units are available may not establish ownership, present location, condition or the seller ability to deliver the identified items. A refurbished unit can also be described using ambiguous commercial terminology.
We record the claimed stock and condition basis, request appropriate identifiers or evidence within the agreed scope, and ask how the seller proposes to demonstrate provenance and supply. Independent physical verification is separately authorized where suitable.
The record: The availability log distinguishes dated supplier claims from evidence reviewed and checks still pending. It supports a decision about further verification rather than representing a guaranteed reservation.
3. Warranty and delivery eligibility are left until payment
The buyer may assume manufacturer warranty, local service or unrestricted shipment while the offer provides only seller support or remains conditional on the proposed end user and destination. Replacement procedures and return freight can also be unclear.
We request the warranty issuer, region, duration, start trigger, exclusions and return process, plus the conditions for the actual transaction. Any required trade-control or legal review is completed by the responsible party before commitment.
The record: A terms-and-conditions matrix shows the proposed service route and unresolved eligibility questions. You can reject an unsuitable arrangement before treating price and lead time as firm.
Put the evidence beside the requirement.
| Comparison line | Evidence to request | Unresolved decision |
|---|---|---|
| Configuration | Exact MPNs, revisions, quantities and exclusions | Approve any substitute separately |
| Condition and availability | Dated stock statement and agreed supporting evidence | Decide whether further verification is needed |
| Warranty and delivery | Named issuer, process, destination and transaction conditions | Confirm the usable commercial arrangement |
A defined piece of procurement work.
Zhipact coordinates one defined BOM and quotation review with candidate China-side sellers or integrators. We request configuration-level responses, record the proposed supply and warranty basis, and flag the checks required before commitment. The task does not assume stock, manufacturer authorization or eligibility to supply a particular item to every destination.
- Eddie leads the requirements review and supplier decisions. Coordination colleagues request records, maintain the comparison and follow up open items. Any physical check or specialist assessment has a named provider, method and deliverable. You approve the scope, fees and next commitment before work begins.
- The scope states the quotation count, follow-up rounds and evidence to be requested. Performance benchmarking, system integration, physical inspection and specialist transaction review are separate activities unless included explicitly. Sensitive end-user or configuration information is shared only as authorized for the proposed sourcing work.
Your next decision: Use the comparison to select a compliant configuration, ask for evidence, arrange an inspection or stop an unsuitable proposal. The objective is a better purchasing decision, not an unsupported promise to locate any accelerator or bypass a supply restriction.
Questions before you enquire.
Will every item come directly from its manufacturer?
Not necessarily. Branded compute can be supplied through distributors or integrators. The comparison identifies the proposed seller role, provenance and warranty basis; it does not describe a reseller as the manufacturer.
Can you guarantee scarce accelerator stock or worldwide delivery?
No blanket guarantee is offered. Availability, condition, seller authority and the actual transaction requirements must be checked for the exact item, parties, use and destination before a supply commitment is made.
